Nevada State Bank’s 2018 Small Business Survey Report will soon be available online with highly targeted, statewide research on business trends, opinions, and priorities. “This year’s survey shows that Nevada businesses are doing better than they have in years and that the people who run these companies are increasingly optimistic about the state, national, and local economies,” said Terry Shirey, president and CEO of Nevada State Bank. “The statistics really highlight the confidence of our business community. We were especially encouraged to see that more business leaders expect to hire more people and anticipate continued revenue growth in the year to come. The impact is rippling and will be felt in all aspects of our economy.”

For the past five years, the bank has contracted with Applied Analysis, Nevada's leading economic, fiscal, and policy research firm, to conduct a science-based, statistically significant survey with questions about the economy, finance, employment, community involvement and the overall outlook for small businesses in Nevada. They survey more than 400 small business owners and decision-makers throughout the state to gain valuable insights into what Nevada business people think about important issues and how they plan to deal with them.
